In current news, a plethora of topics are out and about, some topics such as politics, history, and science have become the new "buzz" in adults and teenagers (as in 13 year olds and older).
The topics below are not listed in order from most interesting, most talked about, or anything. These are just topics that people seem to be talking a lot about.
Topic #1: 2008 Presidential Election -- Obama VS McCaine.
This is a hot topic, for while some go for Obama, others go for McCaine. People should realize that they are not usually using their heads when they decide which man takes control of the country they live in. Most people's decisions to be Republicans or Democrats are overshadowed by the party their parents are in. Another common mistake many people make is that they judge the candidates or the presidents by what occurs in their personal lives. It does not matter what they do on their day off, it matters how good of a president they are. This would be the mistake we made with President Bill Clinton. He was having an affair with another women, and we judged him for that, thus not voting for him, which was a dire mistake. People also discuss if what the candidates are telling us they will do, is true or not, for we cannot be sure that they are not lying. It is also being discussed that which president will remain in office the longest, but that is used for humor, albeit bad humor. These are topics that flutter in the background of today's young adults.
Topic #2: The Large Hadron Collider -- The End of the World on September 10?
Many weapons have been created that contain qualities both awe inducing, and terrible. Todays arsenal include weapons from AK-47's to Flamethrowers to Tanks to Atom Bombs. However, none of these are really causing the controversy that the Large Hadron Collider is creating. Swiss scientists have created a particle accelerator on massive scale. It is a machine that sends out protons, and makes them collide, thus creating the after effects of the Big Bang. Side effects could include: Scientific Advancement, Revelation of Knowledge...and a black hole that might suck the solar system in about 6 seconds.
Topic 3: Economy -- Oil prices and the Stock Market.
As results have shown, oil prices seem to be coming back up at a steady rate, albeit slow. This gives a sign that our economy might be able to come back hope, but do we dare to hope for such a result? Oil prices are going up, but others aren't. The current stock market is as unsteady as ever, and USA's house prices are stockpiling quite quickly, which are causing houses to go into forclosure (causing us to lose more money) and the owner of the house is now homeless, since he could not afford the house, anymore. We are still spending tons of money in the War in Iraq, and troops are dying, while their families wait for them to come back. So this is a topic of interest between the teens of today.
The other topics are existing but are not so important as the ones listed above. Other topics might include new designer clothes, first time dating advice, and a bad case of homwork, or school rash.
This is entry for my blog today; it was written to create awareness that life does exist out of your clothes rack.
Thank you.
