Hello, everyone! I am only going to say a little today.

Every class has been loaded with tons of homework, due to the interruption Hurricane Ike caused in the school curriculum. The load of homework might ease out some time towards February, but that's when TAKS will have started. Yeah, I have so much to look forward to.

When I decide to give up romance, everyone seems to start dating. You can unexpected couples anywhere you go, just like an epidemic. Why does life have it in for me? 8th grade is starting to suck.

Tomorrow is my dad's birthday, so we can celebrate. It is going to be fun.

I have been working on chapter 1 for Nawal Land: The Forbidden Fruit, and its going pretty good.

For my readers: I headed to having 1000 page hits on my story site! That will one of the biggest days of my life. :D

Hello, everyone. I know that I have not posted for a long time, and I have to say that I apologize to my readers for that. However, my readers must realize that I also have to finish my homework, and it that course, I do not always get time to write on this blog of mine.

As I have to say, many things have happened during the period of time I did not write.

- Middle School Romance: There have been many unexpected relationships in the past few weeks. This is has gotten so outrageous that if you had seen the same two people before they had been dating, you would have bet that the apocalypse would have happened twice before those two people had started to go out together. Well, what do you know? The apocalypse seems to have be on coffee break.

Some couples that I see, are dating just for the sake of dating. Some of them avoid contact with each other, talk very little, and try to like each other, but it just seems awkward.

I have asked myself about the point of middle school dating. There seems to be no point in dating until you can drive a car.

- Growth: I could sworn to feel myself growing taller, which is strange. The 8th graders are now gigantic. A friend of mine, Ben Chang, is 6+ feet tall. He just turned thirteen, so congrats for Ben, for making most of us look vertically challenged. I think that I am now 5 ft. 5 in. + tall.

--Poker: Texas Hold 'Em has become one of the most popular game in our school. We play the card game almost all the time. When we are not school, we play poker online with all our friends.

--Accidents: I had an accident. I fell of my bike. So my nose is a bit scratched, but otherwise I'm unharmed.

--Region Band: This is one of the most important of all. This year was my first time at region band. I think I did pretty good, and I hope I got a good chair. After region, I went to friends house to play basketball, football, poker, watch TV, eat, talk, and have fun! It was just something we did to relax and take our stress away.

--Number of Site Visitors: The story called Nawal Land: The Forbidden Fruit has increased the visitors of our site, in about a week, to 50+. Some people have even demanded a copy of the Preface that I wrote. I am currently working on the 1st chapter. So wait just a little while people!

--Time: The first 9 weeks is about to end, and we are going to get grades. I hope that I did good in everything. By the way, TOO MUCH HOMEWORK!!!!

Hello, everyone, who reads my blog. I am sorry for what I said last time, about the Blogger text editor not working right. Apparently I was on the Edit Html tab, instead of the one that says Compose. I have been promising myself that I would write, but I have never had the time.

The City of Galveston has been completely destroyed due to Hurricane Ike, and yet the US does not seem to be paying enough attention to Galveston's people's plight. On the other hand, more attention seems to be going into issues such as the 2008 election or the plight of the people of New Orleans. Our house, however, seems to be in tiptop shape, not counting a few fences, some shingles, and a tree; but otherwise we are completely fine. After a few weeks, when Ike had passed leaving behind an atmosphere of despair and discord. On Monday, September 29, CCISD students were told that they could continue on with their schooling, and so we did. For the first few days, everything seemed like a dream: no homework, barely any school work, and just a ton of fun to deal with...I could live with that; yet, only a few days had passed and already the teachers gave us a surge of homework. We had about 8 tests, 5 projects, and even more school work to deal with, not to mention that Science Fair was just around the corner.

Another topic that seems to be a major part of my life is the talk about high school. This will be one of the biggest decisions of my life, and if I choose wrong, everything would be screwed up for 4-6 years. My parents and a few other people are saying that I should go to early college high school, which is being offered in San Jacinto College. To the adults who encourage in choosing this option, it is one the best things that seemed to have happened to them. They say choose the choice with the most benefits, which are:

-A chance to test your potential.

-Chance to go to medical school two years earlier (I want to be a Neurosurgeon).

-A chance to get an easy Associates degree.

-A chance to save lots of money, or having the chance to abolish/reduce a student that might have to be taken.

-To be in an environment with kids that are very smart.

-A chance to be recognized.

The list looks good, but no one seems to be able to tell me any non-benefits of the "perfect" plan.

Here are a few downfalls:

-I have been the WAVE program for all my junior high years(6th to 8th grade). The assignments that I am given in class are usually either around 1-3 grades higher than standard, or take three times the time a regular worksheet would take. I am not saying that I hate this or anything, but it would be kind of nice to take a break for a year, since 8th grade WAVE is supposed to be harder than the standard 9th grade curriculum, and maybe even surpasses the 10th grade one. If I take the ECHS program that is being offered by San Jacinto college, I will make my education 5 times harder.

-High school is a very special time, that should not be skipped. It is a time to socialize, get better, and mature. It is a time when people actually tie the knot, or start to look at each other more carefully. It is a time, when a person transmogrifies from a young, immature teenager who is ruled by his/her hormones to a older, mature, teenager who is ruled by his/her hormones. It's when people learn to drive, get a date, go to dinner, become adults, etc. There are many experiences that only high school can provide, and they should not be willingly given up.

-Usually, a person does not have a choice to what junior high school he/she goes to and whom he goes with. I am example, for I came from McWhirter Elementary with only one person who I knew was in the WAVE program-Rebecca Herpin. However, we grew apart and we have both made new friends, and this time, I seem to have a choice, so I do not want to break any more bonds that I have developed.

Today, I went to Clear Springs High School, which is huge, and listened to Mark Woods concert. While, entering into the stadium, I noticed Megan was there, too. As my family picked where we would sit, I chatted with her for awhile, then went to sit down next to my little brother. I listened to concert, which was mostly exciting, and at the end, I got my undershirt--T-Shirt autographed by Mark Woods himself. It is now tacked to my bedroom wall. After the concert was over we went to Subway, and then came home. After that I studied a bit, played Texas Hold 'Em on Facebook, talked with Megan, and ate dinner. After that I planned on going to sleep, and that is pretty much it...

I feel that these reasons are enough to show that I am not ready to give up high school. So as you can see, my life has been a little complicated, and I have not been able to write or post. Hope you all have a great life!
